On my macbook some pictures don't show up and are blank.?

Like on mail, when i click show pictures, the pictures don't show up.

Some sites like lids.com, pictures don't show up.

HOW DO I FIX THIS

Sweet choice to go Macbook, I got the Macbook Pro.  I actually haven't had this problem but I hope one of these helps. (I use Mac OS 10.5.4)

-Update your software

-get a new iLife suit or reinstall the current one

-make sure you are connected to the when checking Mail (probably not the issue)

Also if none of these work then Go Applications>Utilities>Disk Utility

then check the permissions and Verify The Disk, if the disk needs repairs then reload your Mac OS CD that came with the computer and do the same checks or repair the disk
