On my police exam application they disqualified me. Will other cities find out?? I was too honest .?

I am a good person. I don't use drugs or drink. Please Help.... I passed a test (written) with another city and the physical this weekend....I am worried about the one city informing the other...

it will show up on the background checks. they pretty much find out everything about you.

Typically, part of each departments hiring process is asking what other departments you're applying for and how far along you are in their process. They do compare notes on you and see that your history questionnaires match.

If you leave one city/department out, and they find out you tried out there and failed, you'll be black balled in all the surrounding areas.  I've seen it happen.  100% honest disclosure or look for another job.

Sounds like my city, except I applied for a dispatch position.

4.5 years in the military and 3.5 years in college and I'm still not qualified enough???  (...Mmm-kay.) I was actually really honest with them, too, like you. It seems there is no pay-off for honesty. *frown*

apply to be an LAPD. I hear they will take you even if you have drug offenses.

If you don't do drugs, or drink! What in the world were you honest about that you want to hide? kinkda worries me! Do you at least cuss every once in a while?
