  3. So it shoots shells loaded with smokeless propellants, not just black powder. That doesn't narrow things down much, does it?

    Many of the older guns were made under the guild system, not mass-manufactured. You may find the maker in there someplace when you break it open. That, or at least the city, would be of a little help, but you may be talking about a custom job. Wouldn't it be terrible if you actually had to get a stock that fits you?

  4. NITRO is the proof mark showing that your gun was 'proofed' with a modern powder.

    GERMANY is the country of manufacture.
