on pokemon diamond how long doed it take 2 hatch an pkm egg that says this will take a long time 2 hatch how many steps do i take?

okay i have a good stategy it takes bout 5000 something steps go to soloceon and go up and down then it will hatch

diffrent eggs diffrent time some take forever other r short all take a long time but it isnt based on time but movement the more u move the faster the egg will open so the bike works well for this
