On pokemon pearl where is the key?

ive been playing pokemon pearl since christmas last year and i still haven't found the key to a lady's room and she says its in the reception or something. ive used the poke app to find it and nothing comes up and i followed instructions to get it by going left outside the reception and all that but it still isn't doing anything.

is there something wrong with the game or am i not doing it right?

go into the hotel were the women behind the desk says

"sorry you have no reservation. you can rest though"

when you find her, go through the top exit door and yu will be outside. use your poke item which finds hidden items and use it. it will show an item. dont stand ontop of the item stay a square away. then press A on were the item is located and you shall pick it up. Fyi when you find the key, give it to her and she will enter the suite, follow her and she gives you a lava cookie. all this item does is get rid of status effects on one pokemon so its basically useless.

its just write outside the hotel its invisble so u'll have to just keep pressing  the atcion button and u should find it
