On pokemon what is the point of using dragon dance or swords dance?

Question

Because say my dragonite uses dragon claw and it does half the opponents hp so i use it again with only take 2 moves to beat it but if i use dragon dance that takes 1 turn so i use dragion claw and this time it does 3/4 of the hp so i ahve to use it again and if i was in the leauge they would use a full restore so there is no point

Dragon Dance Increases your your speed and Attack by one stage and Swords Dance Increases your Attack by 2 Stages.

In this sanario use a Dragon dance once then kill the pokemon with 2 hits, then on the next Pokémon it may have lower defense or just a worse pokémon. Then your Increased Attack might kill what a Unboosted attck may not have

Dragon Dance And Swords Dance Are Best Used When Online Since People Cant Use Healing Items Like Full Restore Only Held Items Like Leftovers :P

dragon dance makes u a bit faster and stronger. swords dance makes u stronger than using dragon dance but not faster. they are both useful. it makes ur attack stronger.i would use 2 dragon dances, then attack the opponent. itll probably one hit kill it this time.  and now, since u are stronger and faster, the opponents next pkmn may be slower than ur pokemon now cuz u gained speed. if u didnt use dragon dance, u would have been slower and go last and probably wont kill it as fast.

it is for pokemon were your dragonites dragon claw does like 1/5 damage it just makes things go faster if u are batteling a high defence pokemon
