On ps3 when driving cars on gta4 or a racing game do you use r2 to accelerate and l2 to break?

I'm not sure about some racing games but i'm definite about GTA 4, yes on gta 4 you use R2 for acceleration and L2 for brake, BUT if you press start and go to controls on the pause menu, you will see an option that says configuration, it will at first be set to standard which means you use R2 for acceleration and L2 for brake BUT you can change the standard option to classic which will change the controls to what they were like in the previous grand theft auto games like X for acceleration and Square for brake.
