On satellite photos of England, what are the pieces you can see the land divided into?

This is in the country. I suppose they could be farms, but I want more information.

  1. I'm pretty certain they are fields. Our country roads are pretty winding so thay come in all shapes and sizes!! The grey areas would be towns/villages etc which would also break it up a bit. I'd need a pic attached to say for certain but there isn't a lot else you'd see other than fields, rivers, towns etc. Our fields tend to be seperated by Hedges, ditches etc for conservation/irrigation purposes.


  2. I don't really understand the question. I think you are more than likely looking at fields in these photographs.
