  1. It will be a partial only. The full eclipse can only be seen in parts of Canada, Greenland, the Spitzbergen Islands, Nova Zembla, Russia and China.

  2. There is a picture of the eclipse track at http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/SEmono/TSE2...

As you can see, the track of totality is well to the north of the U.K. but the partial eclipse covers the whole of the U.K.

From London, the eclipse will begin at 9.33 a.m. BST and end at 11.05 a.m. with maximum eclipse occurring at 10.18 a.m. when 22 percent of the Sun's diameter will be obscured.

  3. Heres a great web site:

  4. http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/SEmono/TSE2...

  5. You'll see only a partial eclipse, unless you head north a bit. Here's a map:

    http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/SEmono/TSE2...

The area outlined in dark blue is the path of totality. The light blue is the area from which a partial eclipse will be seen, and this area includes all of England.
