On the Fox TV Channel's "So You Think You Can Dance" what does the hand on the shoulder gesture symbolize?

Some of the dancers began touching their outstretched fingers and hands to their shoulders. Then the judges began doing it. What does that mean?

It means your place or mine.

It's four finger on their shoulder. It means "For Real". Last month, many of them (Comfort, Will, Twitch, and someone else) wore shirts that read, "IV REAL" (for real). I don't know the significance of it. I asked the day after on Y! but didn't get any responses.
