We're traveling to Freeport (Bahamas) on an all inclusive trip through Fun Jet. Will tipping be expected for good service? What percent might we need to tip if that is anticipated?

  1. u will love freeport okay well umm yeah probly just give them like 5 bucks or something like that i mean u wouldnt give em a lot since u already paid a buncha money for ur trip right?

  2. Yes - unless you go to a Sandals/Beaches Resort tipping is always expected.

  3. We usually tip our housekeeper daily a few dollars a day. It pays off because we always have plenty of towels, shampoo etc. Our room is cleaned in a timely manner too.

We tip our bartender on the beach a few dollars and the service is much better and they take care of you. Some times he will bring us 2 drinks at a time.

If the concierge goes out of his way to take care of a problem or helps out beyond normal, we tip him too. Also the porter that brings our bags to our room.

It sounds like a lot of tipping when it's suppose to be all-inclusive but it's not and the service is quicker and better. It's worth the extra couple of dollars for great service.

We do tip the guides on excursions but that's different then hotel staff.

We don't tip percent, we tip a few dollars here and there according to the service we receive. Just bring 50/100 dollars in one dollar bills for tips at the resort. You will probably come back with some money. I just leave it in an envelope for the next trip.

Have a great trip and enjoy)

  4. I think tipping is always expected depending how the service was. As far as the precentage I would tip whatever you would normally tip a waiter or waitress or bartendar when you are out.

  5. Tipping is always a practice you should use in any customer-service.  However, if drinks and food is included at an all-inclusive, we usually don't.  For any activities such as snorkelling, scuba diving, etc...we always do...as they go out of their way to make it enjoyable and fun.  It's up to you, but for the most part we did.  They really appreciated it.  Will take very good care of you the rest of the trip.
