I have looked every where and I cannot find it and it is driving me crazy. I look at the Operation Guide but it is not where it is supposed to be.

  1. The Sony HDR-SR7 is a hard drive based camcorder.

There is no Firewire, i.Link, IEEE1394a, DV (these are all the same thing) port. Video files are copied to your computer using USB.

The only consumer hard drive based camcorders that have a Firewire connection are a couple from JVC.

The HDR-SR7 has no ports on its own - you need to use the "cradle" or "dock" or "Handycam Station" that came in the box with the camcorder.

The Sony HDR-HC7 has a firewire (i.Link, IEEE1394a, DV) port - it is a miniDV tape based camcorder.
