On the LG EnV, piece of plastic next to camera?

Question

So, on the EnV there is a flap or compartment thing next to the camera on the backside. Anyone know what its for? The picture below is the only one I could find and you can see its next to the camera.

But, anyways, I threw my phone into a couch and lost that piece and now I'm not getting any service. So, is it important? ha :)

wow that is terrible well i would just go to verizon and see if they can fix it for you
