  1. This is the 3rd question about the same camera issues in less than an hour.  You seem to be having a lot of problems with your camcorder that are clearly answered in the owners manual and on the body of the camera itself.  If you do not understand the manual or the information printed on the camera itself, we highly recommend you take your camcorder to a good video equipment supply store or to an electronics department store (such as Circuit City, Best Buy, Frys, and Sears) to get detailed explanations and examples.

It is very strange you are not familiar with this camcorder at all, but you already want to spend money on expensive accessories for it that are usually not needed for normal filming needs - such as fisheye lenses.  You need to go to someone who can not only explain things to you but can also SHOW them to you (and have you practice it with them).  Perhaps you don't own this camera and are considering acquiring one?

    -  just an educated observation.  Anyway, off to your answers!

You can get a fisheye lens for your camcorder.  You will need to find one in 37mm.  You will need to check your camcorder yourself (or have someone physically check for you) to determine if you need a smooth bore lens or a threaded one - with inside or outside threads.  Again, go to a video supply store.

The light may or may not work when recording at night.  Even if it does, using it will drain your battery quickly, and you will run out of battery power before you run out of your first tape.  You can purchase a video light with its own power supply to save your camcorder battery.

If the subject of your recording is not within 10 feet of the lens, the light on the camera won't help anyway - again, you will need to purchase separate lighting. You can find economical ones at a video supply store, but they will not be much more effective than the light you already have.

The SD card in this camcorder is for photos only.  This camera was released over almost 2 years ago - before consumer camcorders recorded video to flash memory cards.

  2. The PV-GS85 is a MiniDV camcorder - the video is only recorded on the tape.  You can switch the light on without recording, but I don't know about a fisheye lens.
