On the Sims 2 Open for Business....?

Is it possible to sell items - like furniture - at a community lot if nobody has bought it?

Or does somebody have to buy the lot for you to be able to buy furniture and stuff from there?

I know the sims could just go on the catalog at home, but I was trying to make an Ikea.....

Yes, it is possible. Matter of fact, I had sold some furniture at a home business and the sim's still made money that way.

Someone must buy it and put the prices. And if you want to make Ikea, do you have IKEA stuff pack. I think it should add a great enhancement to the store. Or maybe the stuff pack has a built community lot you don't have to buy.
