from the moon?, which were actually "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind", but due to the way the radio worked the "a" got lost in the transmission.

  1. Actually audiologists claim that they have been able to dissect the recording well enough with today's technology to be able to hear the "a" making Armstrong's statement grammatically correct.


  2. He's always claimed that. To everybody on earth he said it without the a, but he claims he said it. I don't know if He's just trying to pretend he didn't' flub the line or if he really did say it.
