  1. the M and 12 stars refer to Mary.  I believe the heart thing refers to her heart, I forget the name, but it's pierced because of the pain she went through watching her Son die.

  2. the cross is the crucifix

    the M stands for Mary

the twelve stars are the twelve stars Mary is crowned with in the book of Revelations

"...I saw a Woman clothed with the sun the moon beneath Her feet and a crown of twelve stars about Her head.."

the pairs of hearts are Christ's and the Virgin Mary's

the one with a crown of thorns is Christ's and the other is the Mary's mentioned in the book of Luke "...and a sword shall pierce your soul..."

    the title of these are

    "the Sacred Heart of Jesus"

    and

    "the Immaculate Heart of Mary"

    they are very common
