On the day of suspected ovulation if you have s*x before you notice the ewcm will you still concieve?

Or do you need to wait until you see the ewcm to have s*x? My husband works nights so I am trying to figure out when we should bd! When he gets home at 2am or just sometime before he leaves.I want to do it when its most likely we will concieve. It will be day 14 which I think will be the strongest possible day for the ovulation to occur.We bd on days 10 and 12 too and will on days 16-18-20 to be sure!

It's better to BD before ovulation because on the day of the window of opportunity is pretty small. The egg is only viable for 12-24 hours... if you BD the day before then sperm will be ready and waiting to fertilize.

I personally don't produce a lot of CM so I use preseed so I don't have to wait for it to show up (all other lubricants slightly prohibit the sperms motility)
