  1. The USB port is disabled and is "for future use".  At this time there is no way to transfer material from your DVR to your computer.

    It sucks

  2. All the USB ports I've seen on DVRs are use for playback only. I have a Phillips DVR/DVD Recorder and it will show photos and movies that are stored on USB flash drives. But you cannot store anything onto the drive. It is for playback only.
