On the game magic the gathering can u block with a tapped creature. im new to this game and im not shure......

lets say the opponent has a 2/2 and a 2/2 and i have a 3/3 and a 2/2 i attack the 2/2 with my 3/3 and thus it is tapped then i attack with my 2/2 with there 2/2 and there both destroyed then he creates a 2/2 and it has haste and attacks me while my card is still tapped can i block with the tapped card?

  1. no you cant block with tapped creatures.


  2. no you cant block with a tapped card,

    however in shadow moor(the new card packs) there are alot of cards that have special abilities that require them to untap themselves after they attack (or at the same time as they attack (for example: you tap a card to attack, and it has the ability to fly as long as it is untapped as well, so if u tap, then untap it, it will be attacking with flying)

    because it ends up untapped, it will also beable to defend you on your opponents turn

  3. no blocking w tapped creatures, and no attacking other players creatures, only the controler of the creature decides wheteher it blocks or who it blocks. hope this helps

  4. Nope, tapped creatures can't block...unless you control a Masako the Humorless that is.
