  1. get it off the ground, if you dont fancy laying slabs get some old breeze blocks & put them in each corner ( more if big shed) lay a small piece of plastic on top them & simply put the shed on top of that

  2. It would be best it it has a wood floor to be 8 to 16 inches off the ground. This will allow good ventilation underneath and reduce the chances of mold and bugs. I would still use pressure treated seals, joists, and treated plywood. You could build a ramp if needed for storing mowers and other such things.

  3. Concrete is best. Water will seep in .You could build runners and floor it but I doub't it is any cheaper than concrete.

  4. Concrete.

  5. an inexpensive way to go would be to put down 4-6" of gravel, then put the shed on that, as long as the floor is made of pressure treated wood. that's the way i did mine, after checking with the town building inspector and getting his o k. gravel will drain, as long as the shed isn't in a low spot on the yard, and keep the weeds out from under it, too. just don't do a slab, if you do go with concrete, pour enough footings to properly support the shed. if you check with your town building inspector you'll get a lot of good, free advice, and not put the shed in a location where it may not be allowed by town ordinances. good luck, hope this saves you some time and money.

  6. lay wooden bearers ...these must be tanilised ..level them ...then fit shed on them

  7. If you don't much mind if it lasts, do expose it to moisture and termites.  On the other hand, a firm foundation has a long history of being a successful innovation.

  8. Water can rise and swamp your things in a heavy rain.  Also, bugs can climb up and get into everything.  I would  put all mine up as high as possible.  Water can be very damaging, and will rot the side walls of your storage center quickly.  It doesn't take much to break the paint finish and allow the rot to start.

  9. concrete
