It's perfectly natural ( in third world countries and Canada). We still have Eskimos in our far North that breast feed to a later age than what "our" society deems to be the "norm". No one is offended by that. It is merely a means for children in their formative years to get badly needed nutrition. It is a little odd, however, that this woman still feels the need to continue breastfeeding but there are no laws that dictate when you have to stop.

Well, according to the World Health Organization, the average worldwide age for breastfeeding is 4.2 years.  Long-term breastfeeding may not be common in the US or Europe, but let's face it - it's difficult to claim it's "not natural" or somehow sexual.  

We have developed different values and have placed a certain sexuality on our b*****s in this culture. But as we can see, even in developed countries not everyone believes b*****s are for men's pleasure or newborns only.

my husband said that apparently she is doing this on youtube...i think it is sick, part of being a parent is helping your child develop into an individual, all she is doing is keeping them too close to the apron strings. you dont need to breast feed a child to show them love and affection or security.

yes i seen that too! It's very disturbing. They kids are actually obsessed with her b***s. They have names for each of them and draw pictures of them. The mother also said that they try and grab at her b*****s while she's trying to get dressed in the morning. These kids must get made fun of at school. It's not emotionally healthy for them.

Edit: The only reason that people in developing countries breastfeeding into childhood is because there is no clean water and very little food so the breastmilk is actually there only real source of nutrition. The 8 year old girl eats 3 course meals plus snacks and has lots healthy food and clean drinking water. There's no need to breastfeed an 8 year old. It's going to mess her up when she's older.
