I want to download music from my iPod onto my dare - so I don't have to re buy it on my phone - and possibly make it my ring tone. If I can't make it my ring tone thats OK too. I just want music on my phone.

Any help? Thanks!

  1. You can't directly connect your iPod to your Dare.  You can keep all of your songs, but you have to buy the Music Management kit from Verizon, which contains all of the drivers and stuff to connect your phone to the computer.  Once you have that installed, download Windows Media Player for free from microsoft.com.  When you're setting up Media Player (this software will work with your phone), add all of the songs in your iTunes library to Windows Media Player.  Next, connect your phone with the cable you bought in the Music Management kit to the computer and with Windows Media Player you can load songs onto there.

Also, if the songs you have on your iTunes library are purchased from iTunes, they will have a lock on them so they can't be used in Windows Media Player.  To get rid of the lock, burn your library onto a cd (or as many cd's as you need) and then delete all of those songs.  Then re-import the songs from the cd, and the lock will be gone.

That should help you, good luck!
