On the pill, first time what happens?

Im on the pill to regulate my periods, this is the first lyk break ive had from it, you know the seven day break after the set of tablets. Today was the first day without taking the pill, the start of the 7day break. When will i get my period, because ive been told that the first month of taking the pill you dont always get it, or will i get it in a few days time?

It wont come on the first day of the break, cos the body has to get used to there being no hormones floating around that it usually gets from the pill.

It will come though, although it may be really light or spotty in your first few months. It will settle down. DOn't expect heavy periods on the pill.

After the 7 days, just start again, even if you are still bleeding, and it will stop.

when i was on the pill i used to take my last on a tuesday and get my period on a thursday regular as clock workt it depends on the your body, and how regular u were b4 starting. when it comes you'll know! it may be that it'll always be the same day

I always get mine on the second day off the pill.

Also, if you're going on vacation or something like that and your period is supposed to come then you can just keep taking two or three packs in a row, so your period won't come. Sometimes I like taking 2 packs in a row because I hate having a period, so its a nice break.

Its different for everyone.  The pill I'm on now, I start each week on Sundays.  I don't typically get my period until Thursday during the "break" week.  But on other pills, I started bleeding the very first day.  Just keep protection on you.  It takes a few months for everything fall into a regular schedule.

i started my period about 2days after i had stopped the pill. your periods will be a bit messed up to strat off with due to change in the hormones (which is why spotting may start) this will get better!

but yes you should start in a couple of days. and the do stay to the same pattern (coming on on the 2/3 day)

i'm on the same stuff for the same reasons- look leave it for a weeks, you'll have a period and after the 7 days go back on period will stop easy peesey

I am 26 and started taking the pill when I was 15. It varied a bit at first but settled down pretty quick and now I get my period (sometimes 2 days but) usually 3 days into the 7 day break. It usually lasts for 4 days and then I start my new pack of pills.
