  1. Have you ever noticed players coming off the pitch looking strangely blue? Yep, it's painted on.

  2. Painted (in a wierd diagonal shape so it looks correct on tv cameras)

  3. they pain it using a large stencil that is shaped wierdly so you can see it from the stands and on tv..

    cheers

  4. It's painted. It's not superimposed because it is very hard to superimpose on close up and moving pictures.

The countries' badges and score can be superimposed because they are only seen on wide shots and only when there is no action (i.e. players running back to position for kick off)

  5. i believe its painted on, i asked my hubby this question while watching it, cos i saw at one point the france and wales emblems on the grass too and thought they were painted on too lol. Apparently they arent they are just CGI'd on...... Im hopeless i havent a clue!!!

Its wierd cos it looks like its standing up when we see it on the tv but its flat - my brain doesnt function so logically lol so it was a hard one to get my head round!!

  6. its painted. there is a hurling match live on tv from croke park dublin and you an still make out the rbs logo on the pitch from the ireland/wales match.

well done wales by the way

  7. They paint it, I don't know why they do it. The paint is just gonna make the players legs blue whenever they get tackled over it. If it were up to me I'd superimpose, it would save the hassle of painting part of the field the whole time.
