  1. Yes the trip is paid for, but they place the winner in coach. Another catch is that they round up the value of the trip. For example, you may pay $500 for a plane ticket, but they will value it at the highest possible price. This is the same for hotel prices, car rentals, etc. This does two things, it makes the "total value" of the prize seem larger, but here is the more damaging truth. That higher value raises your tax burden. My Freind didn't win it of "price is right" but he did win a trip. After he paid the taxes on it, he discovered had he simply wanted to take the exact trip, the cost he would have gotten from internet sites or even a travel agent would have been less than the taxes he paid on his "winnings". Goofy ain't it.


  2. I think it depends on the contact the prize promoter has

    with the airline and the show (I dont think they would send you first class (unless it was the prize you won)
