Anyway, how did Val end up married to the fire fighter? I thought she got married to the repair man, when she was drunk.

she got married to the firefighter(vic) after she found out that her ex-fiance(rick) was getting married to julie(who he broke up with to get with val, but still kept in contact with julie when val and rick were going to get married)

val was all depressed and went to atlantic city to get drunk, when she was there, she saw vic(her former boss at her PR job, now a firefighter), she was really drunk that she asked vic to marry her, and they did

i think that you thought that because there was a dream sequence when val thought that she got married to todd(repair man) and when she woke up she actually got married to vic
