  1. You still get the stimulus payment for you and your spouse if you filed a joint return.  But the amount you get, $600 or $1200 or somewhere in between, depends on how much your tax was.

  2. I'm so sorry for your loss :-(

According to www.irs.gov if he passed before you were able to file you will only be able to collect your own rebate of $300...to do that you must file a 2007 tax return for your SSI...you can do that here at the IRS website for free:  http://www.irs.gov/efile/article/0,,id=1...

    I hope this helps

  3. Did you file a joint return?  If so, and your spouse qualified for a rebate, your rebate will be at least $600 and at most $1,200.

If you did not file a joint return but filed by yourself, showing your SSDI income, you would receive $300.

  4. Sorry about your loss!   Have you check the where's my stimulus tool on www.irs.gov  or check on their site to see if you qualify??  If you have not, go on that site and see if you qualify, you'll need last years taxes and the amount of your income, and how many dependents, it explains it all on the website...It should tell you how much you'll be receiving.

    Good Luck!

If you didn't file 2007 taxes as joint, still go on the irs website and it will tell you if you qualified!  Good Luck!

  5. My condolences on your loss.

If you filed a joint return for 2007 (yes, you still can in the year of your spouse's death as long as you did not remarry in 2007) your rebate will be based on the joint return and will be between $600 and $1,200 depending upon the tax liability shown on that joint return.
