Does anyone know of any implications that these types of evolution will have on humans in the future?

  1. Probably not much.  Evolution is a continuing process for any species, but visible changes aren't likely to arise absent environmental pressure beause they don't provide survival or reproductive advantage.  Immune systems will no doubt evolve in the continuing battle with the bugs, but you aren't going to see people with much noticeable difference.

  2. probably won't change a lot- we know that convergent evolution is present in things like babies weight (the median has the most healthy babies) while lower and higher weights are selected against.

there will be shifts in the evolution-a certain trait, perhaps, that's more desirable, and it'll shift. who knows?

the implications can only be described as something that will indeed change the human population, but right now, we can't know what it ill be. all we know is that change will happen. in a few generations though, we won't have a pinkey toe, most likely.
