On the video editting system Sony Vegas how do u change the speeds?

if i change the rate will it b that why when i save the video?

or just how do you actually change the speed of the video?

  1. changing rate (fps) in the rendering menu would not change your play back speed it just increase or decrease output quality. so what should you do to change the play back speed.

    first way (manually) : hold Ctrl key and put your mouse arrow on the end or begin of a video clip hold mouse left button while you are holding Ctrl key and pull it to left and right to change play back speed.

    second way (using numbers) : some times you want to be very perpend so manual way is not really good. you need a mouse right click button on the video clip and choosing properties. then you can see play back rate at the end of the window .


  2. Select a clip, keep the ctrl key pressed down and drag the edge of the clip with the mouse.  If you shorten the clip you'll speed it up, if you lengthen it you'll slow it down.   Editing has no effect on the source video, but you'll see the effect in the rendered video.
