Georgia as a democratic nation should be a close friend of the US. I think that what is really behind this war is Oil. Russia wants to control the pipeline that runs through Georgia. That pipeline runs 1% of the worlds oil through it. Control over it would line the Russian's pockets with a lot of money. Lets face it this has nothing to do with Russian citizens being killed. I think America should step in and assist an ally when they need it. If ... God forbid America ever needed assistance I wonder who would come to our aid...

If McCain were president now, he'd be fanning the flames.  War with Russia would be a McCain wet dream!  I think if McCain is elected he wouldn't tolerate us NOT being at war with someone.  If peace broke out he'd attack Canada if he had to in order to be at war!
