On tight budget and my free norton protection just expired. Any ideas bout the best FREE antivirus protection?

Make sure to remove all of norton, here as the windows removal wont get rid of all of it.

Agree with the above, though I like avast better than avg. However, make sure you uninstall your Norton first. Even though it's expired, it's still running (just not updating), and you will have conflicts if it's not taken off your computer.
