  1. You're told time and time again not to take a turn signal at face value but to wait for other indications that the car is actually going to turn, such as slowing down, changing course etc., precisely for that reason.

The turn signal is only to indicate the driver's intention to pull in or turn to the left, it doesn't specify where  (although it could do if the other driver had any sense about his timing). . .

  2. It would be their fault. One of the 1st things I learned while driving is DONT TRUST TURN SIGNALS!!!

  3. The guy pulling out. HE cannot do anything until it's safe to do it, and HE cannot use the excuse that he "assumed" a turn signal meant something.

People run around all the time with turn signals on, and you have to be SURE they are turning, not ASSUME they are turning.

  4. they shouldnt of pulled out, should of waited, any idiot knows that some peopl drive around with them on, not saying you where but better safe then sorry, they should of waited

  5. I SAY THE OTHER FELLAS FOR PULLING OUT.I ONLY PULL OUT WEN CAN SEE THEM TURN. I AM TRAINING NOW,,HGV,CLASS ONE .AND INSTRUCTED TO PULL OUT . CAN FAIL IF WAIT.FOR UNDUE HESITATION.I SAY THIS IS DANGEROUS, AND WRONG..VERY FEW DRIVERS GO WARE THAY ARE INDICATING..MY EXPERIENCE IS HGV CLASS 2, 25 YEARS LONG DISTANCE. 3 MILLION MLS. I KNOW BETTER THAN THESE INEXPERIENCED SO CALLED DRIVER TRAINERS, WITH VERY LITTLE ACTUAL DRIVING EXPERIENCE.

  6. It's their fault. A turn signal on indicates you are thinking of initiating a turn. But it does not always indicate you will turn. It's up to the other driver to make sure that in fact you are going to indeed turn. Never assume another driver is going to do what they appear to.

  7. It would be the other drivers fault, no questions asked, you cannot turn into oncoming traffic.
