On water cooling cpu the hoses can melt or not ?

I read an article that someone have a pc with melted water hoses is that can be true ?

  1. The previous answer is right. Check to see the thermal coefficients if it can stand the temperature that you want to use it for. If you are overclocking the CPU try copper tubing. And use Amonia as coolant.


  2. Sure if you buy a hose that was not made for heat up to 250f it will melt.

    Problem you run into is all the "water cooler's" want a clear hose so they can rice up there case. They have no idea what hose they're really buying just what looks coolest.

    There are a lot of hoses made to take high heat. Just make sure you buy one.

    In a quick fix buy "Braided  Stainless Steel Heater Hose" used on water heaters. They're rated upto 230F. you can push it to 250 because are 250 you're overheating anyway.

    normal Polyester heater hose is only rated to 150f.
