"Just as you have the instinctive natural desire to be happy and overcome suffering, so do all sentient beings; just as you have the right to fulfill this innate aspiration, so do all sentient beings. so on what grounds do you discriminate?"
-Dalai Llama
I think this quote is one of the most profound quotes ever recorded and it speaks volumes to me personally. Just think about it. Every single day we see injustice. Crimes committed against men. Crimes committed against women. Crimes committed against whites, blacks, asians, hispanics, etc. Crimes against children and the elderly. In our daily lives we see these things go unnoticed but we are either apathetic to the situation or we pretend it didn't happen and go on with our lives.
We spend so much time fighting with each other. We spend so much time hating each other that we forget to go after the real perpetrators. We do you think we, as the human race do this?
