  1. Congo and Ethiopia in Africa, some others in other parts of Africa too, but they were very old ones in China too, about 800000 years ago!

    To add to noyesno's answer above - I hate to state the obvious, but, with humans originating in Africa, we would all have khoisan/san origins :-)

  3. One of the oldest specimens has been found in Omo Kibish, Ethiopia dating back to around 200,000 years ago.

  6. Humans emerged from Africa, so the oldest would be from Africa. Even if you don't accept Australopithecus as a human, the earliest Homo were still in Africa before they left for Europe and Asia.
