On yahoo and google search engines, how do you get it to where after you type one letter.....?

it doesn't pop up with everything that you have previously searched for starting with that letter?

please help and pronto asap please!!!!!

That's not Yahoo or Google, that's Internet Explorer.  There is an option called "Form Fill" -- on any page that has a form box (such as a search box), IE will attempt to fill in the form with the same information you typed the last time you were on that page (based on the URL).  Go into your Internet Explorer "Tools | Options" menu, and under "Content" change the AutoComplete settings.
