On year 2003, i received authenticated birth certificate from NSO, do I need to get a new one this 2008?

Year 2003 i've receivd my authenticated birth certificate from NSO, Philippines, I need it again this year 2008, is my 2003 authenticated birth certificate still valid for travel requirement? Do I need to apply in the NSO-Philippines a new one? Is there any validation of expiration of birth certificated authenticated by NSO Philippines?

  1. Yes, you need to get a new one. As bizarre at it seems, birth certificates have expiration dates! It's only valid for 6 months. If you haven't used that within that time frame...then its as good as scratch paper.

  2. Most countries embassies have a book with authentic signatures from different countries and states.

    So if you are getting legal paperwork done through another country, they want newly signed documents (usually within the last 90 days) to be able to look at the signatures and see if they match what they have.
