On youtube, how do you take the background noises off without adding additional music?

On my own videos.. The software that I used to upload the vids is Kodak EasyShare and that isn't helping either.

Mute it. But you're going to have to open Windows Movie Maker first and import the video there. Just right click the clip and go down to "mute" and there should be any sound.
