  1. I'm unclear on why this scared you. Do you have a fear of insects? Living in New Mexico I routinely remove spiders, scorpions (my first sting last week), and other insects I have no idea what are from my home. Yes, people I also clean and spray on a regular basis.

They usually show up at night when the cold comes to the outside and the house is warm and when not too many humans are scurrying about.

If not real it could be a type of hallucination brought on in that state between sleep and awake (hypnagogic and hypnopompic). Link below.

  2. I'm guessing it was actually probably a great big black garden spider scurrying across the floor.

  3. what makes you think it wasn't real?

  4. If it wasnt real, then your mind was just playing tricks on you because you were probably tired, that happened to me in the morning, too. My dehumidifier was on so there was a little light coming off it, and I thought I saw a big spider on my ceiling and I was going nuts trying to find it, but my mind was just messing with me cuz I was tired.

  5. Maybe its a real spider like insect. Or its a coincidence that the black spots shape as a spider but that doesnt explain scurrying sounds.

Perhaps you were just tired and your mind played tricks

  6. If you heard it, it was real. Probably got fed up watching TV with you and went to bed.

  7. Some people believe that there are low-level energies in some areas that behave like bugs, inhabiting unclean areas of homes.  Once in a while, you could be getting exhausted or in a dream-like state of mind, and your "sight" gets to see these low energies.  But don't go around saying you see bugs that people can't see, unless you like the nuthouse.

Psychologically, yeah, it could have been a hallucination, and if spider things come around again, and you can see them scurrying but not ever be able to kill them or figure out where they went, see a doctor.

When a bug enters your home, even if it makes you scream like a little girl, you have to trap it or kill it, otherwise your phobia won't go away, and you'll fell helpless for a long time.  A glass to trap it, or a bowl, or a shoe or a can of bug spray in stock is a good idea.  Unless you want to go to sleep one night, and feel a little tickle on your arm...

  8. Several things:

Spiders aren't insects, they are arachnids. You're all over the place on that one.

The picture shown on wikipedia as an artist rendition of the 'hat man' shadow person shows the entity spewing off little spiderish shapes of energy or something

Once, I woke up in the middle of the night and saw a giant white spider in my bed.  I bolted out of the bed and was across the room when I realized it was just my hand at a weird angle, which had gone numb from sleeping on it weird.

  9. I've seen them too, my doctor doesn't believe me but I've seen them, I see them every night.  I close my eyes but they're still there, scurrying and scratching.  I cover my ears but the noise comes through my skull.  Who are they, why do they want me, oh god, why won't they leave me alone, they're trying to tell me something.  What is it, what is it, they're scurrying again.  GO AWAY. LEAVE ME ALONE.
