Once Again, a colonial quilt question?

Thanks for all you guys help. Okay, I'm having a tough time trying to figure out what TYPE of quilt i need to do. I need a picture of a mid 17th century (colonial time period) quilt! Thanks!

  1. Quilting really wasn't very widespread in the colonial time period, although it was done a little. Here's a bit of info that could help:

    The few that were made were generally either whole cloth quilts - plain fabric with intricate quilting, medallion quilts - large plain centers with a series of borders, or  broderie p***e - a technique where flowers prints were cut from other fabrics and appliquéd onto plain fabric.

    Windham Fabrics has several lines that are reproductions of colonial fabrics, and they have some free quilt patterns available that are inspired by quilts of that time. Here's a good choice:
