  1. Traditional etiquette suggests that only high ranking officers would be addressed by the public by their military rank: colonels and generals(O6, O7, O8 and O9 in the army, air force and marines), commanders, captains and admirals (O5, O6, O7, O8 and O9 in the navy and coast guard).  Every other service member (including high-ranking sergeants and chief petty officers) would be addressed as Mr. *** by the public

  2. You'll still be "Mr", but expect to be addressed as "Recruit".

Your rank is your rank, not a title. Mind you, quite a few people like to use their old rank in the civilian world - retired senior officers mostly.

Whenever I travel with the Army, the airline tickets always address everyone as "Mr" regardless of rank. Though I once did get a ticket that used my rank as my first name - "Mr Gunner W". That was weird.

  3. no Pvt is a rank use in military. Mr is a address use to address a male

    MR stand for Mister ok

  4. Hi hi,

Normally only the Officers will want to use their military rank as official title.  For other ranks, they just use 'Mr' when they are out of their camp/unit/services.  But when they are still in their uniform, they may use their rank when outside camp.

In for the officers, normally the senior officers use their military, eg. Maj John, LTC Mike, COL Adam, BG Wilson etc, if they have finished their military service and working in private sector.

  5. for military purposes.

  6. Nah only on base, Good on ya for joinin mate i have to :D

  7. Only in military environments. You can still have mailing addresses set to Mr.

The only people that go by "Mr. X" in a military environment in the U.S. Army are Warrant Officers.

  8. I don't think so.  Unless of course you insist on people calling you that (lol)  I think the private title is just in the military

  9. Only in the military.

Outside of it, sure you're still in the service, but everyone will still call you by Mr. Dale.. you will still receive male labeled 'To Mr. Dale'.
