  1. Yes, you can.  When one person quits, the game is over.  The person who wants to keep the marriage alive can make it take longer and cost more, but eventually, it will happen.

    If you want to go ahead with the divorce, you're going to have to get a lawyer.  Either your spouse will eventually realize that it's pointless to try to stay with a person who doesn't want him/her, or you'll end up in front of a judge explaining why you want out, and just the fact that one person wants out bad enough to file is enough that the judge will grant the divorce.
