Obama is to the right of the American population on almost every issue,  using generic terms  like "hope" and "change" can't cover the fact that he is a status quo candidate.

People for 30 years now have wanted universal healthcare-obama's plan isn't that and keeps the insurance companies in the game.

Most Americans want a decrease in military spending- obama supports increasing our military budget

Most Americans support labor and environmental protections-obama supports the liberalization of markets- he's getting more corporate donations than mccain.

I believe that most Americans did not support the reauthorization of the patriot act-obama did

etc....
