  1. Yes, unfortunately they still get paid, and it is high bucks too. Well this soon to be one, Mr. Bush will probably go live at his Texas ranch, but I have been informed. He has plans to retire in Argentina, him and several of his adminstration. Possibily even sooner, depending on if we get nuked or not. Always expect the unexpected, my Grandparents drilled in my head, and I believe 9-11 was a good example, of that.

  2. There is a Former Presidents Act....or something close to that.....which spells out the benefits of a retired President of the United States.  I know that they get a pension plan.  I believe there are also relocations funds, travel funds, and other various benefits.  They also have the option continued Secret Service protection.

  3. Do you want the job? I'll vote for you.

  4. By terms of the Former Presidents Act of 1958, all former Presidents receive a salary equal to that of the head of an executive department (that is, a Cabinet Secretary).  He also gets an allowance for a private office and staff, health benefits, and Secret Service protection for up to 10 years after leaving office.

  5. Yes he continues to be paid a retirment salary, plus staff support, and is protected by the Secret Service.

He may live wherever he chooses.

  6. He gets a very generous retirement salary, secret service protection and a paid staff. He may live anywhere he d**n well pleases, except the White House , of course.
