  1. oxygen is wines worst enemy.  if you keep white wine corked in the fridge it should be ok for 5-7 days.  red wine should be kept around 65-68 degrees.  even better if you get a vacu-vin system to suck all the air out of the bottle (very cheap in the grocery store).

    it will not become toxic.  it will just taste like vinegar!!!


  2. Both of the previous answers are pretty accurate. Also, I have found the Target brand wine that comes in the "wine cubes" is wonderful. It also stays fresh for atleast 2 weeks or longer.

  3. Unfit - Depending on your standards...12 hours at room temperature or up to 2 weeks refrigerated.

    Toxic - Unless foreign substances like mold are introduce, it will never become toxic. Unpleasant yes.
