  1. The worm will die in the digestive tract.

    The kitten will have to p**p out the dead worms.  

    That may take a few days.


  2. I was told a couple of days.  My kitty recently had tapeworm.  It is possible that the worm will be digested and you will not see worm in her stool.  I didn't see the worm in my kitty's.  Good luck

It's usually best to treat twice, two weeks apart.  I'm guessing you got a medication from your vet, and not something over the counter?  If you did, it kills the worms pretty promptly, and they will all get passed in a couple of days.  It's always best to clean the litter box - dump the litter, rinse the box with bleach, and put in fresh litter.  This gets rid of any worm segments or eggs that may be in the litter waiting to re-infest your kitten.  And he should be flea treated as well, as it's usually fleas that give them the tapeworm in the first place.
