Once a person is angry, do you think the must direct that anger somewhere?

like at a group with which they don't associate, or at themselves, or at God (if they believe in it). If they hold it in, will it go away on its own?

That's a good question, maybe that's why so many abuse drugs and alcohol.

Direct it inward.

They must direct it outwardly toward an inanimate object.

An inflatable punching Bozo works great.

I used to have foam rubber bricks to throw, they worked well.

I also used to keep an axe in an old tree stump. Chopping the stump worked wonders.
