Once a person signs their orders for the navy active duty ?

at the MEPS....can they modify their orders to navy reserve....are the orders official when u sign them or when u actually ship off to basic?

call MEPS you migjht be able to dont wait too long though or talk to you recruiter

You will need to be released from the Navy DEP program.  Then talk with a Navy Reserve Recruiter.  The Active and Reserve, although both Federal, are separate operating units.  

Talk with your Navy Recruiter and let them know what you want to do.
