I was shocked and found out I had a bad check when I first moved, it appears to be legit. I am paying the court cost and the amount of the check and just wanted to know if it will still be seen on my record? Will I have to get it expunged?

  1. if you were not arrested it will not go on your criminal record, however if you were arrested it is a class A misdemeanor and will be reported to the state, and nationally. If you took care of the warrant and no arrest was made the only record will be at the local level in Baytown, but will remain for seven years when the clear the records.

  2. It does in Houston and Pasadena, so I'm sure it does in Baytown as well.
